Team Talk with James Rapita
What do you love about living/working in the North?
The diversity Of the North is amazing, with sights and sounds of different nationalities and cultures at every corner, not to mention the variety of foods. It’s truly an experience.
What has been your most memorable listing/sale/client?
The most memorable sale would be an acreage site in Epping that farmers had been trying to sell for over seven years with no luck. I was able to sell it for a record price of $39,000,000. My highest single sale price to date.
What is your stance on the current market?
The market is getting a little harder, in saying that it underlines the importance of the vendors picking the best agent. The best agent doesn’t mean the cheapest commission, in fact, commission really should be the second or third factor when making the final decision, the most important requirement would be the ability of your agent to negotiate and communicate. Negotiation is one of the utmost important factors as it allows you to achieve the best possible price in the most difficult of times.
What do you like most about working at Love & Co?
Having worked in a few agencies before Love & Co I could automatically sense the team dynamic and bond which really helps settle in and working together, this also reflects on the sales results achieved.
What are the most unique skills and qualities that you feel make your team successful? The fact that they treat each sale with the same emotion and determination as they would have selling their own home or that of a loved one and not as a transaction. That personal touch gives the clients a more memorable and less stressful experience.
What is your favourite local business and why?
Sargents Bakery on Edwards Street Reservoir, I remember when I was a little boy going to buy Chocolate eclairs or apple slices from there with mum or aunties, very fond memories. FYI they still make an amazing apple slice.
