Hats off to Dad!
Parenting is a tough gig and has changed a lot in the last 50 years. In modern families, dads are no longer merely the breadwinners and the occasional inept ‘babysitter’.
They’ve stepped up and they’re changing their fair share of nappies, calming those 3am nightmares and helping out with school pick ups and drop-offs. Let’s be honest, they wear many hats – from Handyman, Instructor and Referee, to Taxi Driver, Entertainer, and let’s not forget Banker!
Dads deserve just as much praise as every mum out there!
And with Father’s Day approaching, we reached out to some of the awesome dads within the Love & Co network to get their take on fatherhood and their most memorable Father’s Day moments.

“For me being a Dad has been an amazing journey of discovery and growth. I’ve discovered that we give our kids a lot but when I sit back and look at it they give us so so so so much more. Being a dad is an awesome privilege to watch my two angels grow and become two loving kids makes all the blood sweat and tears seem easy.”

“One of the most precious Jewels of Life for me is being a dad. Words can’t really explain why I love being and dad, but seeing a smile on their face, and them being happy is the greatest gift.
A simple note, that I have kept for 7 years now, from my daughters, would have to be the best Father’s Day present ever!! I’ve kept it in my wallet, the funny thing is, they gave me the note on father’s day thinking it was my birthday.”
Michael Tornatore | Love & Co Thornbury

“I have a strong imagination and like to play and be silly, so having two beautiful kids to share this with is the best job in the world. The most memorable father’s day gift would have been a picture frame that said “Love You Dad” with a photo of them both which was purchased at Father’s Day store at school.“

“As a dad, the proudest feeling you have is seeing your children achieve their goals and seeing them happy in their lives. And of course a hug and a cuddle no matter what age they are, always gives you that warm loving feeling“
